  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for the 
  1.3             office of research and technology transfer 
  1.4             administration for purposes of developing an 
  1.5             international technology acquisition and transfer 
  1.6             system. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.9      $400,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2000 from the 
  1.10  general fund to the board of regents of the University of 
  1.11  Minnesota for the office of research and technology transfer 
  1.12  administration to provide a grant to the nonprofit institute for 
  1.13  invention and innovation to develop an international technology 
  1.14  acquisition and transfer system, in initial collaboration with 
  1.15  Scandinavia, Canada, and interested countries within the 
  1.16  European economic community.  This appropriation is available 
  1.17  until expended.
