  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to health; requiring the commissioner of 
  1.3             health to study the health effects of avian fecal 
  1.4             pollution; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [HEALTH STUDY.] 
  1.7      The commissioner of health must study the effects of avian 
  1.8   fecal matter on human health.  The study must include an 
  1.9   analysis of the effects of avian fecal matter, including goose 
  1.10  droppings, on children.  The commissioner must submit findings 
  1.11  and recommendations to the legislature.  The report must be 
  1.12  completed and presented to the legislature by July 1, 2005.  The 
  1.13  report must comply with Minnesota Statutes, sections 3.195 and 
  1.14  3.197. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.16     $50,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.17  commissioner of health to administer section 1.  The 
  1.18  appropriation is available for the fiscal year ending June 30, 
  1.19  2005.
