  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for the 
  1.3             expansion of the young inventors program. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $200,000 in fiscal year 2000 and $200,000 in fiscal year 
  1.7   2001 is appropriated from the general fund to the department of 
  1.8   children, families, and learning for a grant to the metropolitan 
  1.9   educational cooperative service unit to expand its kindergarten 
  1.10  through grade 12 young inventors program in collaboration with 
  1.11  the south central service cooperative's Minnesota student 
  1.12  inventors congress and other related resources.
