A bill for an act
relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for the Mankato Civic
Center Arena and Women's Hockey Development Center.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $4,725,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of employment
and economic development for a grant to the city of Mankato for capital improvements to
renovate the Mankato Civic Center Arena, for the design of an expansion of the Mankato
Civic Center Arena, and for the design of a Women's Hockey Development Center on the
campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato. This appropriation is available until the
project is abandoned or completed, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
