A bill for an act
relating to liquor; authorizing producers of intoxicating liquor to sell their products
directly to consumers.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, any law, rule, or local ordinance that prohibits,
limits, or otherwise regulates the ability of a producer of intoxicating liquor, within the
meaning of Minnesota Statutes, section 340A.101, subdivision 14, to sell their products
directly to consumers, is void. No such law, rule, or ordinance may be enforced against a
producer.

Sec. 2. new text begin LEGISLATION.

new text begin The revisor of statutes, in consultation with the Division of Alcohol and Gambling
Enforcement at the Department of Public Safety, the House Research Department, and
Senate Counsel, Research, and Fiscal Analysis, shall prepare a bill repealing laws described
in section 1, for submission to the legislature at the 2022 regular session.
