  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             or wetlands in Hennepin county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER OR WETLANDS; HENNEPIN COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45, 
  1.9   103F.535, and 282.018, and the public sale provisions of 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Hennepin county may sell by 
  1.11  private sale the tax-forfeited land bordering public water or 
  1.12  wetlands that is described in paragraph (c), under the remaining 
  1.13  provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282. 
  1.14     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.15  attorney general for a consideration of not less than the 
  1.16  appraised value as determined by the Hennepin county board. 
  1.17     (c) The land to be sold is located in Hennepin county and 
  1.18  is described as: 
  1.19     COM AT THE INTERSEC OF THE W LINE OF NW 1&4 WITH THE S LINE 
  1.20  OF ELEC SHORT LINE RY R&W TH E TO A PT 50 RODS W FROM THE W LINE 
  1.21  OF MEDICINE LAKE ROAD TH S 16 RODS TH E TO W LINE OF SAID ROAD 
  1.22  TH SWLY ALONG SAID ROAD LINE TO THE S LINE OF N 50 RODS OF NW 
  1.23  1&4 OF NW 1&4 TH W TO W LINE THEREOF TH N TO BEG UNPLATTED 
  1.24  SECTION 36 TOWNSHIP 118 RANGE 22 HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA. 
  1.25     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  2.1   management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  2.2   returned to private ownership.
