relating to labor and industry; appropriating money for labor standards technology
modernization.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $1,300,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $70,000 in fiscal year 2019 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of labor and industry for the labor standards technology
modernization project. The base for this project in fiscal year 2020 is $70,000, subject to
Minnesota Statutes, section 16E.0466. Ongoing information technology costs must be
incorporated into the service level agreement and must be paid to the Office of MN.IT
Services by the commissioner of labor and industry under the rates and mechanism specified
in that agreement.
