A bill for an act
relating to taxation; sales and use; exempting construction materials and
equipment for a surface water treatment plant; amending Minnesota Statutes
2006, section 297A.71, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 297A.71, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

used or consumed in, and equipment incorporated into, the construction, improvement,
installation, or repair of facilities and improvements associated with a surface water
treatment plant project located within and owned by the city of Burnsville are exempt.

new text begin This section is effective for sales and purchases made after
March 15, 2007, and before January 1, 2010.
