1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to school buses; authorizing the commissioner 1.3 of public safety to cancel the school bus driver's 1.4 endorsement of a person who has been convicted of a 1.5 gross misdemeanor or of multiple violations that show 1.6 evidence of a risk to public safety; proposing coding 1.7 for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 171. 1.8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.9 Section 1. [171.3216] [ACTIONS ON SCHOOL BUS ENDORSEMENT.] 1.10 In addition to any authority granted under section 1.11 171.3215, the commissioner may cancel a school bus driver's 1.12 endorsement on a driver's license of any person if the 1.13 commissioner determines that the person has (1) been convicted 1.14 of a gross misdemeanor, or (2) has been convicted of a series of 1.15 violations of law that the commissioner determines shows 1.16 evidence that the person represents a risk to public safety.
