A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money for comprehensive water
monitoring and phosphorus reduction in Lake St. Croix.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; LAKE ST. CROIX COMPREHENSIVE WATER
MONITORING.

new text begin $950,000 in fiscal year 2010 and $650,000 in fiscal year 2011 are appropriated
from the clean water fund to the commissioner of the Pollution Control Agency for
comprehensive water monitoring and phosphorus reduction activities in the Lake St.
Croix portion of the St. Croix River. The Pollution Control Agency shall work with the
St. Croix Basin Water Resources Planning Team and the St. Croix River Association in
implementing the water monitoring and phosphorus reduction activities.
