  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $120,000 in fiscal year 2000 and $120,000 in fiscal year 
  1.8   2001 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner 
  1.9   of children, families, and learning for the Minnesota 
  1.10  International Center to encourage and foster contacts between 
  1.11  Minnesota school children, their teachers, and people from other 
  1.12  nations through international classroom connection.
