  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; authorizing bonds 
  1.3             and appropriating money to remove and replace exterior 
  1.4             brick veneer on a portion of the Anoka county 
  1.5             courthouse. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION FOR REPAIR.] 
  1.8      $600,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the 
  1.9   commissioner of public safety for a grant to the county of Anoka 
  1.10  to remove and replace the exterior brick, lintels, and other 
  1.11  accoutrements of the west courthouse building in the city of 
  1.12  Anoka.  The existing brick and stone facade is losing its 
  1.13  integrity due to oxidation and other forms of deterioration and 
  1.14  has become a public safety hazard. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.16     To provide the money appropriated by section 1 from the 
  1.17  bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on request of 
  1.18  the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an 
  1.19  amount up to $600,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with 
  1.20  the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  1.21  16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  1.22  4 to 7. 
  1.23     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.24     This act is effective the day following its final enactment.
