  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education finance; authorizing a grant to 
  1.3             independent school district No. 2687, Howard 
  1.4             Lake-Waverly-Winsted, for development of an 
  1.5             agricultural high school; appropriating money.  
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOL.] 
  1.8      Independent school district No. 2687, Howard 
  1.9   Lake-Waverly-Winsted, in collaboration with the University of 
  1.10  Minnesota, must establish a working group to develop a proposal 
  1.11  for an agricultural high school.  The planning grant received 
  1.12  under section 2 may be used for curriculum design, survey of 
  1.13  student interest, outreach to other school districts, and 
  1.14  identification of potential sites for delivery of the program. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.16     $....... is appropriated in fiscal year 2002 from the 
  1.17  general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.18  learning for a planning grant to independent school district No. 
  1.19  2687, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, for an agricultural high 
  1.20  school.  This appropriation is available until June 30, 2003.
