  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the city of Jackson; extending the 
  1.3             duration of a tax increment financing district. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CITY OF JACKSON; TAX INCREMENT FINANCING 
  1.6   DISTRICT.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [DISTRICT EXTENSION.] (a) Notwithstanding 
  1.8   the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, section 469.176, 
  1.9   subdivision 1c, full tax increments from U.S. 71/I-90 tax 
  1.10  increment financing district in the city of Jackson must be paid 
  1.11  to and may be retained by the city of Jackson through taxes 
  1.12  payable in 2002. 
  1.13     Subd. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the 
  1.14  day after compliance with Minnesota Statutes, sections 469.1782, 
  1.15  subdivision 2, and 645.021, subdivision 3.
