  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public safety; appropriating money to 
  1.3             continue the operation of the Camp Ripley program for 
  1.4             at-risk youth. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; CAMP RIPLEY WEEKEND CAMP FOR 
  1.7   AT-RISK YOUTH.] 
  1.8      $625,000 is appropriated for the fiscal year ending June 
  1.9   30, 2002, and $625,000 is appropriated for the fiscal year 
  1.10  ending June 30, 2003, from the general fund to the commissioner 
  1.11  of public safety to continue to operate the Camp Ripley weekend 
  1.12  camp program for at-risk youth described in Laws 1997, chapter 
  1.13  239, article 1, section 12, subdivision 3, as amended by Laws 
  1.14  1998, chapter 367, article 10, section 13.  The commissioner 
  1.15  shall attempt to serve at least 500 juveniles per year within 
  1.16  this appropriation.
