  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; appropriating money to construct 
  1.3             noise barrier on marked trunk highway No. 10 in Mounds 
  1.4             View. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; NOISE BARRIER.] 
  1.7      $1,000,000 is appropriated from the trunk highway fund to 
  1.8   the commissioner of transportation for construction of a noise 
  1.9   barrier on the south side of marked trunk highway No. 10 in 
  1.10  Mounds View from its intersection with Long Lake Road to its 
  1.11  intersection with marked interstate highway No. 35W.  The 
  1.12  commissioner must undertake construction of this noise barrier 
  1.13  before July 1, 2004.  The commissioner may not take action under 
  1.14  this section until the commissioner has determined that at least 
  1.15  one-third of the total cost of the project will be paid from 
  1.16  nonstate sources.  This appropriation is available until spent. 
  1.17     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.18     Section 1 is effective July 1, 2001.
