A bill for an act
relating to public safety; appropriating money for state's share of costs of
precommitment detention of persons under civil commitment law.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATIONS.

new text begin $....... for fiscal year ending June 30, 2008, and $....... for fiscal year ending June 30,
2009, are appropriated from the general fund to the state court administrator to be used
for the state's share of the costs associated with the precommitment detention of persons
as described in Minnesota Statutes, section 253B.185, subdivision 5. This is a onetime
appropriation.
