  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money to the 
  1.3             commissioner of trade and economic development for a 
  1.4             grant to the northern counties land use coordinating 
  1.5             board. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $250,000 is appropriated for the fiscal year ending June 
  1.9   30, 2002, from the general fund to the commissioner of trade and 
  1.10  economic development for a grant to the northern counties land 
  1.11  use coordinating board to initiate a private land use project 
  1.12  for northern Minnesota in cooperation with appropriate federal, 
  1.13  state, local, and private entities.  The appropriation is 
  1.14  available when the commissioner determines that a commitment to 
  1.15  the project has been made of an equal amount from nonstate funds.
