A bill for an act
relating to historic preservation; appropriating money for a grant to the Hmong
Studies Center.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $200,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2008 to the director of
the Minnesota Historical Society for a grant to the Hmong Studies Center at Concordia
University in St. Paul, Minnesota, to be used for preservation of Hmong historical
documents and artifacts. Any part of the appropriation not used in fiscal year 2008 is
available for use in fiscal year 2009.
