A bill for an act
relating to transportation; directing use of design-build method of contracting
for interchange construction.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DESIGN-BUILD CONTRACTING.

new text begin Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 161.3414, or any other law to the
contrary, the commissioner of transportation shall utilize the design-build method of
contracting, under Minnesota Statutes, sections 161.3410 to 161.3428, in connection with
the design, engineering, and construction of an interchange at marked Trunk Highway 13
and County State-Aid Highway 5 in the city of Burnsville, county of Dakota.
