  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital investment; appropriating money 
  1.3             for a new fire and police station in the city of Blue 
  1.4             Earth; authorizing the issuance of state bonds. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; BLUE EARTH FIRE AND POLICE 
  1.7   STATION.] 
  1.8      $642,242 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the 
  1.9   commissioner of public safety for a grant to the city of Blue 
  1.10  Earth to acquire land for and to predesign, design, construct, 
  1.11  furnish, and equip a fire and police station.  This 
  1.12  appropriation is not available until the commissioner of finance 
  1.13  has determined that at least an equal amount has been committed 
  1.14  to the project from nonstate sources. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.16     To provide the money appropriated by section 1, the 
  1.17  commissioner of finance shall sell and issue bonds of the state 
  1.18  in an amount up to $642,242 in the manner, on the terms, and 
  1.19  with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 
  1.20  16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article 
  1.21  XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.22     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.23     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  1.24  enactment.
