  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; providing a rate increase 
  1.3             for a 60-bed board and care facility located in 
  1.4             Minneapolis; amending Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 
  1.5             256B.431, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 256B.431, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 31.  [RATE INCREASES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2001.] 
  1.10  Following the determination under this section, or any other 
  1.11  applicable section, of the payment rate for the rate year 
  1.12  beginning July 1, 2001, the case mix class A operating payment 
  1.13  rate for a 60-bed facility located in Minneapolis certified as a 
  1.14  nursing facility and licensed as a board and care facility shall 
  1.15  be increased by $8.08, and the payment rate for all other case 
  1.16  mix classes shall be increased to the modified case mix class A 
  1.17  rate multiplied by the class weight for that case mix class 
  1.18  established in Minnesota Rules, part 9549.0058, subpart 3.  This 
  1.19  increase shall be included in the facility's total payment rate 
  1.20  for purposes of determining future rates under this section or 
  1.21  any other applicable section.
