A bill for an act
relating to education; collective bargaining; providing notice of negotiation;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 179A.14, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 179A.14, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin A school district must provide notice of the time and location
of a scheduled negotiation with an exclusive representative to a person who has requested
notice. The district must notify the person of the meeting by telephone or e-mail, at no cost,
as soon as practicable once the meeting has been scheduled.
