A bill for an act
relating to commerce; transferring money from the special revenue fund in the
Department of Commerce and appropriating it to the wastewater infrastructure
fund.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin TRANSFER; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin (a) $15,000,000 in fiscal year 2018 is transferred from accounts in the special revenue
fund at the Department of Commerce to the general fund, except that no transfer shall be
made from the "Made in Minnesota" solar energy production incentive account in the special
revenue fund under Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 216C.412.

new text begin (b) $15,000,000 in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the general fund to the director
of the Public Facilities Authority for the purpose of awarding grants to projects eligible for
assistance from the wastewater infrastructure fund under Minnesota Statutes, section
446A.072, in priority order. This amount must be used to provide grants to projects that
would not otherwise receive assistance from the wastewater infrastructure fund during fiscal
year 2018. This is a onetime appropriation.
