  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to economic development; eliminating the 
  1.3             World Trade Center Corporation and transferring its 
  1.4             assets and certain functions to the department of 
  1.5             trade and economic development; repealing Minnesota 
  1.6             Statutes 1998, sections 44A.001; 44A.01; 44A.02; 
  1.7             44A.023; 44A.025; 44A.031; 44A.0311; 44A.06; 44A.08; 
  1.8             and 44A.11. 
  1.9   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.10     Section 1.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.11     Minnesota Statutes 1998, sections 44A.001; 44A.01; 44A.02; 
  1.12  44A.023; 44A.025; 44A.031; 44A.0311; 44A.06; 44A.08; and 44A.11, 
  1.13  are repealed. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [TRANSFER OF ASSETS.] 
  1.15     All assets and liabilities of the World Trade Center 
  1.16  Corporation are transferred to the commissioner of trade and 
  1.17  economic development. 
  1.18     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATES.] 
  1.19     Section 2 is effective June 30, 2000, and section 1 is 
  1.20  effective July 1, 2000.
