A bill for an act
relating to public safety; impaired driving; providing for probation violation
for any impaired driving offender driving with any presence of alcohol during
the period of probation; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes,
chapter 169A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin [169A.79] PROBATION VIOLATION; ZERO TOLERANCE.

new text begin Notwithstanding any other provision of this section or any other section of
Minnesota Statutes, a person who has been sentenced to probation following conviction
for a violation of section 169A.20 or 609.21 is prohibited as a condition of probation from
driving when there is any amount of alcohol present in the person's body.
