A bill for an act
relating to state lands; requiring sale of certain surplus state land.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SALE OF SURPLUS INHOLDING; WINONA COUNTY; WHITEWATER
STATE PARK.

new text begin (a) The commissioner of natural resources must remove the land described in paragraph
(c) as an inholding for Whitewater State Park and must sell the land and improvements to
the land at public sale, free of any inholding designation.

new text begin (b) The commissioner of natural resources may make changes to the land description to
correct errors and ensure accuracy.

new text begin (c) The land to be sold is located in Winona County and is described as:

new text begin That part of the Southeast Quarter, Section 17, Township 107, Range 10, described as
follows: commencing at the northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter; thence South along
the east line of the Southeast Quarter 972.69 feet; thence West 1,160.91 feet to the point of
beginning; thence South 64 degrees East 711.92 feet to the westerly right-of-way of Trunk
Highway 74; thence southwest along said right-of-way 14.95 feet; thence southwesterly
along the right-of-way 302.19 feet; thence North 70 degrees West 125.00 feet; thence North
66 degrees West 248.50 feet; thence North 63 degrees West 150.92 feet; thence westerly
along a concave curve southerly 350.00 feet; thence North 20 degrees East 372.80 feet to
the point of beginning (parcel identification 020001541).
