  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to water basins; authorizing a revision of 
  1.3             the list of public waters; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.4             1998, section 103G.201. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 103G.201, is 
  1.7   amended to read: 
  1.8      103G.201 [PUBLIC WATERS INVENTORY.] 
  1.9      The commissioner shall prepare a public waters inventory 
  1.10  map of each county that shows the waters of this state that are 
  1.11  designated as public waters under the public waters inventory 
  1.12  and classification procedures prescribed under Laws 1979, 
  1.13  chapter 199.  The public waters inventory map for each county 
  1.14  must be filed with the auditor of the county.  The commissioner 
  1.15  may revise the list of public waters to further identify any 
  1.16  public waters wetlands that should be listed as water basins on 
  1.17  the public waters inventory, and shall provide a revised list to 
  1.18  the affected county auditor.
