  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to liquor; authorizing the use of machines to 
  1.3             premix and dispense intoxicating liquor; amending 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 340A.508, by adding a 
  1.5             subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 340A.508, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 4.  [CERTAIN PREMIX AND DISPENSING MACHINES.] Nothing 
  1.10  in this section shall be deemed to prohibit the use of a machine 
  1.11  by an on-sale intoxicating liquor licensee to premix and 
  1.12  dispense frozen or iced cocktails provided that the machine is 
  1.13  emptied and cleaned on a daily basis.  A machine described in 
  1.14  this subdivision need not be visible to the consuming public. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
