  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; establishing task force to study 
  1.3             seasonal road restrictions. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [SEASONAL ROAD RESTRICTIONS; STUDY; TASK 
  1.6   FORCE.] 
  1.7      (a) The commissioner of transportation shall establish a 
  1.8   task force to study seasonal road restrictions and report to the 
  1.9   legislature its findings and any recommendations for legislative 
  1.10  action.  The commissioner shall appoint members representing: 
  1.11     (1) aggregate and ready-mix producers; 
  1.12     (2) solid waste haulers; 
  1.13     (3) liquid waste haulers; 
  1.14     (4) the logging industry; 
  1.15     (5) the construction industry; and 
  1.16     (6) agricultural interests. 
  1.17     (b) The task force shall report to the legislature in 
  1.18  writing its findings and recommendations by February 1, 2000. 
  1.19     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.20     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
