  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             flood mitigation and prevention. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $....... is appropriated from the general fund for the 
  1.7   biennium ending June 30, 2003, to the board of water and soil 
  1.8   resources for grants to southeastern Minnesota counties that 
  1.9   were designated under the Presidential Declaration of Major 
  1.10  Disaster, DR1333, whether included in the original declaration 
  1.11  or added later by amendment.  
  1.12     Of this amount, $....... must be used for cost-sharing 
  1.13  contracts for the repair of conservation practices damaged by 
  1.14  the storms and to correct erosion caused by the storms and 
  1.15  $....... must be used for securing easements on floodplain 
  1.16  lands, and for the restoration of wetlands to reduce flood 
  1.17  damage in the watershed, under the reinvest in Minnesota program 
  1.18  in Minnesota Statutes, sections 84.95 and 103F.501 to 103F.531. 
  1.19     This is a one-time appropriation.
