A bill for an act
relating to housing; appropriating money to rehabilitate housing outside of the
seven-county metropolitan area.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin (a) $5,000,000 in fiscal year 2022 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of the Minnesota Housing Financial Agency for grants to cities outside of
the seven-county metropolitan area. The grants may be made to a city for up to $200,000
for projects to rehabilitate single family housing. The grants may be spent on local housing
rehabilitation with no more than $50,000 of the grant spent on a single housing unit.
