  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to traffic regulations; authorizing cities of 
  1.3             Bloomington and Burnsville to restrict or prohibit 
  1.4             engine brakes on motor vehicles within those cities. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [ENGINE BRAKES; LOCAL REGULATION.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding any other law, the governing body of the 
  1.8   city of Bloomington, on behalf of the city of Bloomington, and 
  1.9   the governing body of the city of Burnsville, on behalf of the 
  1.10  city of Burnsville, may by ordinance restrict or prohibit the 
  1.11  use of engine brakes on motor vehicles within the city.
