  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to child care; funding child care resource 
  1.3             and referral programs and child care development 
  1.4             grants; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND 
  1.8   LEARNING.] The sums indicated in this section are appropriated 
  1.9   from the general fund to the department of children, families, 
  1.10  and learning for the fiscal years designated. 
  1.11     Subd. 2.  [CHILD CARE DEVELOPMENT.] For child care 
  1.12  resources and referral programs under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.13  section 119B.18: 
  1.14       $3,000,000     .....     2000 
  1.15       $3,000,000     .....     2001 
  1.16     Of this amount $1,000,000 each year is for child care 
  1.17  services development grants according to Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.18  sections 119B.20 and 119B.21. 
  1.19     Any amount remaining after the first year does not cancel 
  1.20  but is available the second year.
