A bill for an act
relating to agriculture; providing a grant for
research on the production of hydrogen fuel from
ethanol; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ETHANOL TO HYDROGEN RESEARCH.

new text begin $250,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of agriculture in fiscal year 2006 for a grant to a
qualified entity for research on equipment and procedures for
converting agriculturally derived ethyl alcohol to hydrogen.
The commissioner must establish guidelines for selecting the
qualified entity. This is a onetime appropriation and remains
available until awarded as a grant.
