  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public safety; appropriating money for 
  1.3             reimbursement grants to organizations that have 
  1.4             contributed members to the criminal gang strike force. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CRIMINAL GANG STRIKE FORCE REIMBURSEMENT 
  1.7   GRANTS.] 
  1.8      $5,671,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.9   commissioner of public safety for the grants authorized under 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, section 299A.66.  Of this amount, $2,786,000 
  1.11  is available for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2002, and 
  1.12  $2,885,000 is available for the fiscal year ending June 30, 
  1.13  2003.  These amounts shall be included in the 2004-2005 biennial 
  1.14  base budget.
