  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; requiring the commissioner 
  1.3             of administration to contract with an independent 
  1.4             auditor for an audit of certain programs of the 
  1.5             department of human services; appropriating money. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [HUMAN SERVICES AUDIT.] 
  1.8      The commissioner of administration shall contract with an 
  1.9   independent auditor to conduct an independent audit of programs 
  1.10  administered by the department of human services, including: 
  1.11     (1) MMIS; 
  1.12     (2) MAXIS; 
  1.13     (3) PRISM; and 
  1.14     (4) SSIS. 
  1.15     The commissioner shall report the results of the audit to 
  1.16  the appropriate legislative committees with human services 
  1.17  jurisdiction by January 1, 2003. 
  1.18     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.19     $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.20  commissioner of administration for the purposes of section 1.
