  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to centers for independent living; 
  1.3             appropriating money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; GRANTS FOR CENTERS FOR 
  1.6   INDEPENDENT LIVING ADDED TO EXISTING FUNDING.] 
  1.7      $435,666 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of economic security for grants to fund the eight 
  1.9   certified centers for independent living.  The appropriation 
  1.10  shall be distributed in accordance with the state independent 
  1.11  living plan formula for distribution of new independent living 
  1.12  funding.  This appropriation shall become part of the agency's 
  1.13  base level funding for the 2004-2005 biennium.
