  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to handicapped persons; appropriating money 
  1.3             for deaf-blind services. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $120,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of human services for the biennium ending June 30, 
  1.8   2001, for a grant to DeafBlind Services Minnesota to be used to 
  1.9   hire an orientation and mobility specialist to work with 
  1.10  deaf-blind people.  The specialist will provide services to 
  1.11  deaf-blind Minnesotans and training to teachers and 
  1.12  rehabilitation counselors statewide.
