  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education funding; authorizing a disaster 
  1.3             relief facilities grant for independent school 
  1.4             district No. 508, St. Peter; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [TECHNOLOGY GRANT; ST. PETER.] 
  1.7      (a) $600,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2000 from the 
  1.8   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.9   learning for a disaster relief facilities grant for independent 
  1.10  school district No. 508, St. Peter.  This grant is for 
  1.11  facilities replacement costs not covered by the district's 
  1.12  insurance settlement or through federal emergency management 
  1.13  agency payments.  
  1.14     (b) This appropriation is available until June 30, 2001. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective July 1, 1999.
