1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; INTERNATIONAL RENEWABLE ENERGY
1.6TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE (IRETI).
1.7$1,500,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2010 to the Board of
1.8Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for a grant to Minnesota State
1.9University, Mankato for the International Renewable Energy Technology Institute (IRETI)
1.10to be located at the university as a public and private partnership to support applied
1.11research in renewable energy and energy efficiency to aid in the transfer of technology
1.12from Sweden to Minnesota and to support technology commercialization from companies
1.13located in Minnesota and throughout the world. This is a onetime appropriation.
