  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to government data; making certain rideshare 
  1.3             program data on individuals private; proposing coding 
  1.4             for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 13; 
  1.5             repealing Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 13.72, 
  1.6             subdivision 2. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [13.491] [RIDESHARE DATA.] 
  1.9      The following data on participants, collected by the 
  1.10  Minnesota department of transportation and the metropolitan 
  1.11  council to administer rideshare programs, are classified as 
  1.12  private under section 13.02, subdivision 12:  residential 
  1.13  address and telephone number; beginning and ending work hours; 
  1.14  current mode of commuting to and from work; and type of 
  1.15  rideshare service information requested. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.17     Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 13.72, subdivision 2, is 
  1.18  repealed.
