A bill for an act
relating to education; authorizing transportation aid for school districts that
provide flexible learning year programs; amending Minnesota Statutes 2006,
section 123B.92, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 123B.92, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

district is eligible for flexible learning year program pupil transportation aid. The aid
amount equals the number of flexible learning year program pupils transported in
that program on days that are not pupil instruction days on the regular district school
calendar times the district's actual daily expenditures per pupil transported in the regular
transportation category in the second preceding year.
