A bill for an act
 relating to higher education finance; appropriating money to the Board of
Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for Cook County
higher education.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $18,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $18,000 in fiscal year 2015 are appropriated to the
Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for Cook County
higher education to provide educational programs and academic support services to remote
regions in northeastern Minnesota. This appropriation amount shall be in addition to the
$102,000 per fiscal year the project currently receives. Beginning with the 2016-2017
biennium, the funding base for this program shall be $120,000 in each year.
