  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to consumer protection; regulating auto glass 
  1.3             repair and replacement; restricting certain rebates 
  1.4             and incentives; proposing coding for new law in 
  1.5             Minnesota Statutes, chapter 325F. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [325F.779] [AUTO GLASS REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT; 
  1.8   REBATES AND INCENTIVES.] 
  1.9      A motor vehicle glass vendor may not offer any rebate or 
  1.10  other incentive to perform any motor vehicle glass replacement 
  1.11  or repair unless the rebate or incentive: 
  1.12     (1) has a value of $25 or less; 
  1.13     (2) is given within ten working days of the completion of 
  1.14  the work; 
  1.15     (3) is made unconditionally; and 
  1.16     (4) has a redeemable cash value of no less than 50 percent 
  1.17  of the retail value of the product offered as an incentive.
