  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; modifying the group 
  1.3             residential housing supplementary rate for certain 
  1.4             facilities; amending Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 
  1.5             256I.05, subdivision 1e. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 256I.05, 
  1.8   subdivision 1e, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 1e.  [SUPPLEMENTARY RATE FOR CERTAIN FACILITIES.] 
  1.10  Notwithstanding the provisions of subdivisions 1a and 1c, 
  1.11  beginning July 1, 1999 2001, a county agency shall negotiate a 
  1.12  supplementary rate in addition to the rate specified in 
  1.13  subdivision 1, equal to 25 125 percent of the amount specified 
  1.14  in subdivision 1a, including any legislatively authorized 
  1.15  inflationary adjustments, for a group residential housing 
  1.16  provider that: 
  1.17     (1) is located in Hennepin county and has had a group 
  1.18  residential housing contract with the county since June 1996; 
  1.19     (2) operates in three separate locations a 56-bed 71-bed 
  1.20  facility, a and two 40-bed facility, and a 30-bed facility 
  1.21  facilities; and 
  1.22     (3) serves a chemically dependent clientele, providing 24 
  1.23  hours per day supervision and limiting a resident's maximum 
  1.24  length of stay to 13 months out of a consecutive 24-month period.
