  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to economic security; appropriating money for 
  1.3             training for people with disabilities. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $252,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of economic security for a grant to Advocating 
  1.8   Change Together, Inc. (ACT).  The grant must be used for the 
  1.9   training and empowerment of individuals with developmental and 
  1.10  other mental health disabilities, the maintenance of related 
  1.11  data, or technical assistance for work advancement or additional 
  1.12  workforce training.  The appropriation is available until June 
  1.13  30, 2001.
