A bill for an act
 relating to housing; appropriating money for a grant to Open Access Connection
to provide free voice mail services.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $70,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $70,000 in fiscal year 2015 are appropriated from
the general fund to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for a grant to Open Access
Connection to provide free voice mail services for homeless and low-income people so
that they have a reliable and consistent communication tool to aid in their search for
affordable housing and their search for and maintenance of jobs so that they have income
to maintain affordable housing. This service shall be provided in the metropolitan area
and through a toll-free number in greater Minnesota.
