  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing conveyance and 
  1.3             private sale of certain tax-forfeited land that 
  1.4             borders public water in Chisago county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; CHISAGO COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, the commissioner of revenue 
  1.11  shall convey by deed to the county of Chisago the tax-forfeited 
  1.12  land bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c). 
  1.13     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.14  attorney general. 
  1.15     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Chisago county 
  1.16  and is described as:  
  1.17     (1) Lot 18 of Lilygrens Beach; 
  1.18     (2) Lot 19 of Lilygrens Beach; and 
  1.19     (3) Lot 23 of Lilygrens Beach. 
  1.20     (d) The county has determined that the land is needed for 
  1.21  highway purposes. 
  1.22     Sec. 2.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.23  PUBLIC WATER; CHISAGO COUNTY.] 
  1.24     (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.25  282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of 
  2.1   Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Chisago county may sell by 
  2.2   private sale the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that 
  2.3   is described in paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of 
  2.4   Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.  
  2.5      (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  2.6   attorney general. 
  2.7      (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Chisago county 
  2.8   and is described as: 
  2.9      Lot 4 of the First Addition to Labelle Isle. 
  2.10     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  2.11  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  2.12  returned to private ownership.
