A bill for an act
relating to taxation; property; authorizing Nobles
County, the city of Worthington, and Independent
School District No. 518 to conduct joint truth in
taxation hearings; amending Minnesota Statutes 2004,
section 275.065, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 275.065, is
amended by adding a subdivision to read:

new text begin Nobles county; joint initial public
hearing. new text end

new text begin Notwithstanding any other law, Nobles County, the city
of Worthington, and Independent School District No. 518,
Worthington, may hold their initial public hearing jointly. The
hearing must be held on the second Tuesday of December each
year. The advertisement required in subdivision 5a may be a
joint advertisement. The hearing is otherwise subject to the
requirements of this section.
